Huernia is a genus of succulent plants that belongs to the family Apocynaceae. Native to Africa, particularly in regions such as South Africa, Namibia, and Madagascar, Huernia plants are known for their unique and often bizarre-looking flowers.

• Huernia species are characterized by their succulent stems and unique growth habits.

• These plants typically feature angular or ribbed stems adorned with fleshy, often spiny, protrusions.

• Huernia require excellent drainage so make sure your potting medium is really well drained.

• Clay pots are ideal for Huernia as they dry out quickly.

• They prefer bright light to mottled shade and grow in the wild under other plants and bushes.

• Huernia plants are generally low-maintenance and easy to care for.

• They require infrequent watering, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.

• They prefer well-draining soil and are relatively drought-tolerant.
