Cotyledon pendens, commonly known as Cliff Cotyledon, is a stunning succulent native to South Africa. It is particularly noted for its unique, hanging growth habit which makes it a popular choice for hanging baskets and elevated planters.
Growth Habit: Cotyledon pendens produces long, trailing stems that can grow up to several feet in length. These stems hang or drape gracefully over the edges of containers, creating a striking visual display.
Leaf Characteristics: The leaves of Cotyledon pendens are small, plump, and bell-shaped with a distinctive bluish-green color and a slight powdery coating that helps reflect sunlight and conserve water.
Flowers: The plant blooms in the late summer to early fall, producing clusters of small, bell-shaped flowers at the tips of the stems.
