Polaskia is a genus of columnar cacti native to Mexico, known for its impressive, tree-like growth and adaptability. These cacti are particularly favored for their sculptural forms and are often used in landscaping and as ornamental plants in dry gardens.

Tree-like Structure: Polaskia cacti can grow into tall, columnar forms that eventually branch out to resemble small trees. They can reach heights of up to 20 feet in their natural habitat but generally stay smaller in cultivation.

Flowering: Polaskia species typically flower in the late spring to early summer. The flowers are small, funnel-shaped, and range in color from white to yellow, depending on the species.

Light: These cacti thrive in full sun, which encourages healthy growth, flowering, and spine development.

Landscape Plant: Their tall, branching form makes them excellent choices for adding structure and height to cactus and succulent gardens.
