Growing Habit:

Leaves :
The bark is gray and smooth, and the leaves are green to gray-green in color. The leaves also have small spikes along their edges, but they are not particularly sharp.
The tree produces beautiful, tubular pink or orange flowers that attract birds and insects, particularly in the winter months when the tree typically blooms.
It is also used in traditional medicine, and the sap from the leaves can be applied topically to help heal wounds and burns.
